Local Town Pages The Voice of Your Community

Charles and Nicole Tashjian established Our Town Publishing in 1999, positioning it as a comprehensive printing company. With a specialization in direct mailers, large format printing, and addressing diverse printing needs, we take pride in serving as a one-stop solution for all printing requirements. If you can envision it, we have the capability to bring it to print!

In 2010, they launched Local Town Pages, a community-based newspaper that has since evolved to encompass 15 monthly Community Newspapers covering 25 towns in the Metrowest/Metrosouth/Blackstone Valley and Central MA areas. Our unwavering commitment to community engagement led to the integration of The Yankee and Blackstone Valley Press in 2020, followed by the addition of the Bellingham Bulletin in 2022, and the Milford and Upton Mendon Free Press in 2023. The distribution of our newspapers extends to over 172,000 homes and businesses, solidifying our position as the largest independently owned newspaper company in Massachusetts. We remain steadfast in upholding the highest standards of quality and community-focused journalism.

About:

In 1999, as digital technology became increasingly prevalent in the photo developing sector of our highly successful photo lab, we recognized the imperative to redefine our identity and brand. Our unwavering commitment to printing and publishing remained paramount. Alongside our established ownership of multiple phone directories, we expanded our graphics division to assist local businesses in meeting their marketing needs for events, fundraisers, and more.

Identifying a gap in the market, we discerned the opportunity to launch a community-based newspaper in our area. Larger newspaper companies were unable to provide the authentic community feel and comprehensive coverage of stories that truly matter to the residents. Over the past decade, we take pride in our growing influence in the market, culminating in the establishment of 8 newspapers that span 10 towns. Furthermore, we've extended our reach into the Central area of Massachusetts.

Looking ahead, we are eager to continue our growth trajectory, anticipating further expansion in the coming years. Recently, we've introduced digital platforms corresponding to each of our 8 papers, aligning with the evolving landscape of media consumption.
