The Library will be closed Monday, April 15 for Patriots Day, and Sunday, April 21 for Easter. The Library’s regular hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Chess Club for Kids! Friday, April 12th, 3:30-4:30 p.m.(ages 8-13)
April Vacation at the Franklin Public Library!!
A visit from Coastie the Tugboat! Saturday, April 13th, 10:30 a.m. 
Come meet the Coast Guard’s feistiest member! Coastie is a hilarious animated cartoonish tugboat. He talks, plays music, and interacts with kids while teaching all about water safety!
Wally ! Tuesday, April 16th 10:30 a.m.
We’re pleased to welcome back our friend Wally the Green Monster for a storytime and meet and greet! Wear your favorite Red Sox gear and bring your camera and your biggest smile!
Book Bites. Third TUESDAY of the Month, April 16th, 5-5:30 p.m. (ages 8-11)
Animal Affair! Wednesday, April 17th 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Make some new furry or feathered friends! Everyone is welcome to pet, brush, feed, hold, and play with the animals! Participants are taught the proper way to hold and handle the animals.  Animal Affair will be bringing ducks, chickens, goats, pigs and rabbits!  No registration is required.
Mr. Vinny’s Shadow Puppet Show! Thursday, April 18th, 10:30 a.m.
Mr. Vinny from the Toe Jam Puppet Band presents a dynamic and hilarious family show! Mr. Vinny specializes in storytelling with unique puppets! Get ready for lots of jokes and audience participation, and a few fun surprises!
Peter Rabbit Egg Hunt! Friday, April 19th through Saturday, April 20th
Peter Rabbit has lost his eggs! Stop by the library to help him find his special eggs hiding in the library!
Catch Your Breath. Friday, April 19th 3:30 p.m.
Everyone could use a moment to breath. Join us for guided meditations and a journaling activity in the Friends of the Franklin Library room!
Family Yoga Adventure. Saturday, April 20th 9:30 a.m.
Put on some comfy clothes, grab the whole family and your yoga mats and join us in the program room for our Family Yoga Adventure! We’ll follow along with a fabulous story, doing different moves to keep the story going!
Bump and Beyond: A Group for Expecting Parents! Wednesday, April 24th, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Happy Feet! Friday, April 26th, 10:30 a.m.
Let’s play some music and get those little toes moving! Join us for an introductory class into creative movement using very basic ballet moves.

Code IT! Saturday, April 27th, 3:30 p.m.
The next evolution in the libraries CODING/STEM programming for teens; Code IT is an hour of coding and building using Lego MINDSTORM, Circuit Kits, Scratch, and more.  Recommended for 5th grade and up. To sign up contact [email protected].
